About Mawgan Porth Holiday Park

Mawgan Porth Holiday Park was first established in 1973. The current owners are a family-run business who took over the site in November 2008 and it will re-open in May 2009 as The Park at Mawgan Porth, having been extensively refurbished. The holiday park has been a highly popular destination for many years and we believe that it offers the perfect combination of location, facilities and scope for its current expansion into a modern, ecologically friendly holiday environment. As a company, we are committed to responsible, sustainable tourism and, indeed, believe it is our responsibility to preserve the environment for future generations.

With this in mind, the parkland setting has been enhanced and expanded to offer increased facilities and all the properties have been upgraded to offer simple yet beautiful accommodation. We have introduced eco lodges, solar thermal systems, under-floor heating and improved insulation, whilst remaining sensitive to the surrounding environment. These improvements mean that the site will now be open all year round. The landscape has also been carefully developed to offer nature walks, low level lighting, places to relax and increased ability to really enjoy The Park’s wonderful location. Dogs will now also be welcome on site and in some properties.

The owners have a successful holiday centre in Dorset called Greenwood Grange, set in historic and cultural Hardy country, surrounded by beautiful countryside and within easy reach of the Jurassic coast. If you would like to see more of what we do as a company, please visit the website

The owners have a keen interest in sponsoring local artists and artisans which is reflected in the properties’ interiors and they see The Park as being the perfect place for guests to be inspired and creative throughout the year, as well as being a wonderful place for a summer beach holiday. We are also very keen to support healthy, active living and our refurbished shop and reception will be offering wholesome and local produce, as well as being a place to meet and arrange days out or activities.

We have been coming on family holidays to Mawgan Porth for many years and see this as a fantastic opportunity to update The Park within our ethos of responsible and sustainable tourism, whilst also being able to spend more time in this beautiful place.
