Eco Lodges at Mawgan Porth, Cornwall

The Park at Mawgan Porth is introducing these beautifully designed, eco-friendly robust timber buildings as another choice of accommodation. In line with our ethos, these represent the very best in low carbon living, designed to our specification to give you the most comfortable and enjoyable holiday experience. The extensive landscaping and native planting at The Park provide the perfect backdrop for these low-impact, sustainable buildings. 

The lodges are constructed using renewable building materials, which incorporate air source heating systems with user friendly fresh air input, solar thermal panels for solar heating and hot water. They are timber built using FSC controlled wood and are built to a very high standard, achieving building regulation approval. The natural flooring, combined with natural fibres and furnishings create a warm and welcoming environment. The lodges have two or three bedrooms, sleeping four or six people, and the fully fitted kitchens and bathrooms are very well equipped. One of the lodges is specifically designed to create top quality disability access with ramps, bathing facilities and thresholds to allow easy wheelchair manoeuvrability.

All the eco lodges are single storey and have spacious open-plan living and dining areas. The fitted kitchens have wooden worktops, a dishwasher, gas hob and electric oven, washing machine and fridge freezer. Some of the larger lodges have a small utility area which houses a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The living room is equipped with a flat screen television, DVD player and Freeview, comfortable seating and natural textile rugs. The lodges have either a wood-burning stove or a contemporary fire.

The two-bed lodges (Derow and Morvoren) have one double bed and zip-link twin beds in the second bedroom, which can be made up as a second double bed. The three-bed lodges have two double bedrooms and a twin room with two singles. Bed linen is included and one bath and hand towel is provided for each person. All the beds have a choice of hypo allergenic or feather bedding and Ecover cleaning products are supplied in each lodge. Every lodge has a decked garden area with outdoor seating, BBQ and fire pits.
